Visiting CALA
Where is CALA?
CALA is inside The Senna House, a Curio Collection hotel by Hilton, at 7501 East Camelback Road in Old Town Scottsdale's entertainment district.
Where do I park?
Old Town Scottsdale's public parking garages are free, and street parking has a three-hour limit. Valet is also available, run by an independent company that sets its own rates.
What are CALA's hours?
CALA is open from 7 AM to 11 PM Sunday through Thursday, and from 7 AM to midnight on Friday and Saturday. The kitchen closes an hour before closing; the bar stays open until close.
Is CALA open every day?
Yes. CALA is open 365 days a year.
What is the dress code at CALA?
Business casual. Light and neutral colors suit the room, but come as you're comfortable.
Is CALA wheelchair accessible?
Yes. CALA is on the first floor with no steps at the entrance, and there's an accessible restroom.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio.
Is there a kids menu?
Yes, CALA has a kids menu.
Do you show sports?
Yes. There are TVs inside and outside, with the sound kept off.
Reservations
How do I make a reservation?
Book tables of up to 8 on OpenTable. For 9 or more, send the event form on the private events page and a team member reviews the request.
What is the cancellation policy?
For up to 8 guests, change or cancel at least 24 hours ahead to avoid a $25 per person fee. For 9 or more, changes or cancellations need 5 days' notice for a full refund.
What if we're running late?
There's a 15-minute grace period. If you'll be later than that, call CALA as soon as you can.
Is a credit card required to book?
Yes, a credit card is required to hold a reservation.
Do you take walk-ins on the weekend?
Weekends are busy, so a reservation is best. The bar area has open seating with full service.
Private events & large parties
What does it take to secure a large party?
A 20% deposit and a signed contract. CALA confirms by email and text once both are in.
What is added to a large party's bill?
Tax, a 6% venue fee and a 20% gratuity. An invoice comes with the payment.
Can I bring my own cake?
Yes. CALA adds a $25 cutting fee. Other outside food and drinks aren't allowed.
What is the private dining room like?
It seats 9, with a 55-inch TV, large windows onto the main entrance, and sliding glass doors that close for privacy.
How big is the patio?
The patio holds up to 100 guests, with a 40-foot outdoor bar, a fireplace, lounge furniture, cabanas and a lawn.
Do you have celebration packages?
Yes. Packages start at $135 for up to 10 guests, with a personalized menu title, drinks on arrival and CALA sparklers for the guest of honor. The Luxe Bar open bar starts at $120 per person.
Food & drink
Do you have gluten-free and vegan options?
Yes. Every menu marks gluten-free (gf), vegan (v) and vegetarian (vg) dishes.
What should I order on my first visit?
The flaming saganaki: fried kasseri cheese flamed with Greek brandy at the table.
When is brunch?
Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM, with a DJ. Cala Grand, the $75 brunch buffet, runs from 11 AM to 1 PM.
When is happy hour?
Every day from 3 to 6 PM, at the bar and high tops only.
What are CALA's signature cocktails?
The Mez-CALA and the Calajillo, a tequila espresso martini. The cocktail list changes every few months with Arizona's seasons.
Do you serve beer, wine and spirits?
Yes: draft and bottled craft beer, wine by the glass and by the bottle, and a full selection of spirits at two bars.
Does CALA cater?
Yes. Catering from CALA's kitchen can be ordered ahead and picked up in Old Town.
Can I buy a gift card?
Yes, online through CALA's gift card page or at the restaurant.
